Don Mobley, CPA serves as Managing Member for Scott and Company LLC. Don’s primary responsibility is to oversee the strategic direction and management of the firm while continuing to develop the firm’s practice and provide client service for some of the firm’s largest audit clients. Don also serves as a member in the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Services practice, where he leads and develops the firm’s audit practice, advising clients on financial and business matters, and recruiting, counseling, managing and developing professional staff.
Having spent several years with two international accounting firms, Don joined Scott and Company in 2002 and has served major clients in real estate, hospitality, government, manufacturing, contracting, not-for-profit, and other industries. His clients have included Island Global Yachting, Charleston County, South Carolina Department of Transportation, South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, South Carolina Budget and Control Board, Horry County Department of Airports, the State of South Carolina, Bowater, South Carolina Office of First Steps, Beneteau, and Columbia Metropolitan Airport, among others.
Don earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina (USC) in 1982 and received his Masters of Accountancy from USC in 1983.
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA), Don is a certified public accountant in South Carolina, North Carolina, New York and Florida. He served on the board of directors and as treasurer for A Child’s Haven in Greenville and was also a board member and chairman of the scholarship committee for the Friends of Accounting Department at the University of South Carolina.
